Thursday’s double feature in men’s rugby kicks off at 7 p.m. at the St. Albert Rugby Football Club.
On the premier pitch St. Albert (1-2) battles the Clansmen (1-1). Last month the Clan crushed the 2011 provincial finalists 53-12 at Ellerslie Rugby Park.
The first 15 are coming off their only win of the season, 24-20 over the Calgary Irish (0-1) Saturday in St. Albert.
In the second division tilt St. Albert (1-2) tackles the Pirates (1-3). The last match for the seconds 15 was the 13-12 loss to the Clan (3-1) at Airways Park.
The Tigers Baseball Association hosts its 29th annual tournament this weekend at Legion Memorial Park.
The six-team draw features the St. Albert Tigers, Parkland White Sox and Calgary Redbirds in the Waples division and the Red Deer Riggers, Fort Saskatchewan A’s and Red Deer Stags in the Young division.
The following games are scheduled for the east and west diamonds at Legion park.

Meanwhile, the Tigers dropped to 1-2 in the Sunburst Baseball League after Friday’s 2-0 loss to Fort Saskatchewan in St. Albert.
The Jeremy Richardson Memorial Baggataway Tournament starts Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Servus Credit Union Place and the Akinsdale and Kinex arenas.
The three-day, 126-game schedule consists of 74 teams in the mini-tyke, tyke, novice, peewee, bantam and midget divisions. The host St. Albert Rams are represented by 19 teams.

Saturday’s pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Akinsdale is also a fundraiser for the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation. Last year organizers raised $413.55.
Sunday’s race time for the 21st annual St. Albert Kids of Steel Triathlon is 8 a.m. at Fountain Park Recreation Centre.
Youths between four and 19 years old race as individuals or as a team in the swim-bike-run event that varies in distance according to age group.
The Alberta Summer Games qualifier for zones 5 and 6 is also a competition for U19 junior elite and U23 triathletes.
Online registrations processed after Sunday’s deadline included 303 competitors and 12 relay teams.
The awards ceremonies begins at approximately 1:30 p.m.
