St. Albert is the host city for seventh annual Special Olympics Canada Winter Games.
The competition features 651 athletes with an intellectual disability, in addition to 51 head coaches, 154 assistant coaches, 13 team managers, 12 chef de mission and 53 mission staff for a total of 934 participants from all 10 provinces and two territories.
Ontario: 187 athletes, 254 total.
British Columbia: 109 athletes, 155 total.
Alberta: 78 athletes, 112 total.
Quebec: 75 athletes, 105 total.
Manitoba: 44 athletes, 66 total.
Nova Scotia: 34 athletes, 51 total.
New Brunswick: 32 athletes, 48 total.

Several of the gold medallists in the following seven sports will represent Canada at the 2013 worlds in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
