The Jeremy Richardson Memorial Baggataway Tournament features 18 girls and 56 boys/mixed teams in the mini-tyke, tyke, novice, peewee, bantam and midget divisions. St. Albert will be represented by 19 teams.

The three-day schedule consists of 126 games at Servus Credit Union Place and the Akinsdale and Kinex arenas.

The tournament was renamed in Richardson’s memory after the former St. Albert Saints’ hockey player and Rams’ product passed away Nov. 5, 2005 at age 23 of malignant melanoma.

Richardson was the first Ram drafted in the National Lacrosse League. He was picked by the Calgary Roughnecks in the third round, 27th overall, in 2003.
