This weekend marks the return of the St. Albert Mission ringette teams after the Christmas break.
The U19AA Mission belles (7-11-3) play the U of A Alumni tonight at 7:45 p.m. at Enoch Rec Centre and the Relit on Monday at 9:45 p.m. at Kinex Arena.
The U16AA Mission juniors (13-14-3) have an exhibition scheduled today against the U19A St. Albert Sigma (15-3-2) at 11 a.m. at Go Auto Arena and Sunday they host the Edmonton Elite at 11:15 a.m. at Troy Murray Arena.
The U14AA Mission tweens (22-4-5) and Sherwood Park Surge meet Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The No. 1 bantam elite team in the Alberta Female Hockey League skates twice this weekend on home ice.
The St. Albert Raiders (12-2) host the Lethbridge Cyclones (6-8) today at 2:30 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena and the Edmonton Pandas (6-5-2) Sunday at 8:15 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The north division leading Raiders entered the Christmas break with 10 consecutive wins and five were shutout decisions.
The Blues and Source for Sports Crusaders are back in action in the Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League.
Game times for the Blues (14-4) are 8:30 p.m. tonight against the Fort McMurray Barons (3-12-5) at Mark Messier Arena and 4 p.m. Sunday against the KC Colts (4-11-4) at Confederation Arena.
Tuesday the Crusaders (12-7-1) face-off against the CAC (6-9-4) at 8:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The first game for the Crusaders after the Christmas break was Friday in Wainwright against the Polar Kings (4-8-6) but the score was unavailable at press time.
In the Metro conference, the Blues are first in the Anderson division and the Crusaders are second in the Besa division.
Last month’s record for the Blues was 3-1 and the Crusaders were 2-2.
The St. Albert Rugby Football Club kicks off its indoor training Tuesday at Elmer S. Gish School.
Start time is 8 p.m. in the gym and male and female U18/senior players are welcome.
