Game two is 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Go Auto Arena and game three is 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at Beaumont.

Hockey finals

The playoff finals for the midget AA Source for Sports Crusaders and bantam AA Bears continue Sunday in St. Albert.

Faceoff times are 6:30 p.m. between the Crusaders and Beaumont Braves in the Northern Alberta Hockey League and 7:30 p.m. between the Bears and Lakeland Panthers in the Edmonton Rural Hockey League.

Friday’s scores for the Crusaders in Beaumont and the Bears in Bonnyville were unavailable at press time.

Game three in the best-of-five series for the Crusaders is 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in Beaumont.

If needed, game four is 7:30 p.m. Friday at Go Auto Arena and game five is 8 p.m. Sunday in Leduc.

The third and deciding game in the bantam AA series is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bonnyville.

Last week at provincials, the Crusaders beat the Braves 5-3 and the Bears lost 7-0 to the Panthers.

In league play, scores were 6-0 for the Braves against the Crusaders on March 2 and 6-0 for the Panthers against the Bears on Oct. 28 and both games were in St. Albert.

Storm football

The St. Albert Storm tackles the West Edmonton Raiders today in the Capital District Minor Football Association midget spring league.

Kickoff is 11 a.m. at Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove. Admission is $5 for 12 years and over.

The Storm won last weekend’s season opener 30-0 against the Fort McMurray Ravens.

The first of two home games for the Storm at Larry Olexiuk Field is April 18 against the Parkland Predators at 6:30 p.m.

The Storm plays six games overall and last year’s team finished 3-3.

Midget team rosters consist of players in grades 9, 10 and 11.

Curlers at cities

The 55th annual Edmonton and area Tournament of Champions starts Sunday at the Granite for the President's Cup playoff winners at the St. Albert Curling Club.

In the 9 a.m. opening draw, Dale Briske plays the Saville Centre in the men’s division and Lauren Jenkyns faces the Granite in the women’s division.

The 6 p.m. mixed game for Jason Tuininga, with Jenkyns as the third, is against the Shamrock or Avonair.

Briske and Jenkyns are defending city champions.

The double-knockout bonspiel features the 2018 club champions from 12 metro Edmonton region curling clubs.

The semifinals for the two A qualifiers and two B qualifiers are 7 p.m. Thursday and the finals are 7 p.m. Friday.
