League play wraps up this week in metro Edmonton high school senior men’s and women’s basketball before the playoffs tip-off Monday.

Bellerose hoops

The Bellerose Bulldogs host the M.E. Lazerte Voyageurs and W.P. Wagner Warriors in today’s doubleheader.

Game times are 5 p.m. against Lazerte (9-1) in division two men and 6:30 p.m. against Wagner (7-2) in division three women.

The Bellerose men are third at 7-3 and the lady Bulldogs are first at 9-0.

The metro finals are March 2 at 8 p.m. for division two men and March 3 at 4 p.m. for division three women at Jasper Place. The lady Bulldogs are the 2017 playoff finalists.

Paul Kane hoops

Today’s doubleheader for the Paul Kane Blues starts at 5 p.m. against the McNally Tigers (2-8) in division two men and 6:30 p.m. against the Archbishop MacDonald Marauders (6-3) in division one women at Paul Kane.

The PK men are 2-8 and the lady Blues are second at 9-1.

The division one women’s final is March 3 at 5 p.m. at Jasper Place.

The Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association's second ranking period list the lady Blues at No. 4 in 4A.

Skyhawks hoops

The St. Albert Skyhawks host the Jasper Place Rebels (10-0) tonight and Leduc Tigers (7-2) Thursday in division one women’s action at 6:30 p.m.

The Skyhawks are third at 8-1 and in the 4A rankings are listed 10th.

Jasper Place, the 2017 4A provincial gold medallist and winner of the last two division one championships, is ranked first and Leduc is an honourable mention.

The final is March 3 at 5 p.m. at Jasper Place.

The men’s division two Skyhawks played the Memorial Marauders (4-5) Tuesday and the score was unavailable at press time.

Today’s game against the Beaumont Bandits (3-7) starts at 5 p.m. at the SkyDome. The Skyhawks are 2-8.

Sturgeon hoops

The division two women’s game between the Sturgeon Spirits and Strathcona Christian Academy Eagles (6-2) tips off today at 5:30 p.m. in Namao.

The Spirits are second at 8-1.

The final is March 2 at 6 p.m. at Jasper Place.

The 3A provincial rankings list the Spirits at No. 6 and the Morinville Wolves of the North Central zone are No. 9.

In division three men, Sturgeon visits the Austin O’Brien Crusaders (6-4) today at 5 p.m.

Sturgeon is tied for third at 6-4.

The final is March 3 at 6 p.m. at Jasper Place.
