The first-place St. Albert Impact sent the KC Trojans packing last Thursday night with a 2-0 shutout on their home field in men's premier action.
The Impact have gone undefeated in nearly three months after turning their season around in early May. The team is in first place with nine wins, four ties and one loss. After going 1-2-1 in their first four games, the team is 8-2-0 in its last 10.
This Thursday, the Impact will have an opportunity to add another win to their column when they take on the struggling Africana FC at the Riel turf field. The Africana FC has had trouble with scoring this year and it has cost them in the standings. They come into Thursday's game with a disappointing record of two wins, two ties and nine losses.
The last time the Impact lost was May 1 against the Juventus Scona.
Div 1B
The St. Albert Impact fell to second place after losing 3-0 to the Southwest United Men last Wednesday night.
The Impact will have a chance to get back on top Wednesday night when they take on the newly first place DV Oldboys Green & Gold at Riel field.
The Oldboys have one more point than the Impact this year in what has been a very competitive season.
Div 1A
The St. Albert S.S. Lazio Rangers will settle some unfinished business against the Edmonton Drillers Monday night at the ESA Complex. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
Last time the Rangers met the Drillers the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
With three games left in the regular season, the Rangers are only one point behind second place and three points behind first. Every point is going to matter in this tight division race.
The Rangers are the highest scoring team in the division with 43 goals for and only 16 goals against.
Women's Premier
The St. Albert Impact takes on the Edmonton Drillers Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Riel recreational field.
The Drillers will be looking for revenge after being shut out 3-0 by the Impact the last time they met.
The Impact will also be looking to get some bounce back in their step. They lost their last game 5-3 to the first place North West United and need to get back in the win column.
Look for Impact players Danica Blasius and Brittany Boe to put pressure on the Drillers early.
Blasius and Boe are tied for third in the division and first on the team with nine goals each.
