A preview of the Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League final was staged Thursday at provincials in Okotoks.
Seth Summers and David Cloutier of the St. Albert Source for Sports Crusaders scored in the 2-1 win over the Strathcona Warriors.
The championship series between the Crusaders and Strathcona starts Thursday at 8:45 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
Game two is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at SOC/Fultonvale and game three is Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
If needed, game four is April 11 at 6:45 p.m. at SOC/Fultonvale and game five is April 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The Crusaders (19-11-2, 116 GF/89 GA) finished second in the Besa division of the Metro conference and Strathcona (18-10-4, 117 GF/87 GA) placed second in the CanAccom division of the Rural conference.
In the playoffs, Strathcona is 5-1-1 and the Crusaders are 7-2.
Provincials continued Friday for the Crusaders against the Wheatland Chiefs and CBHA Rangers but scores were unavailable at press time.
The last round-robin game is against the Okotoks Oilers today at 12:45 p.m.
Sunday the third-place game is 9 a.m. and the final goes at noon.

The St. Albert Comets lost twice on the opening day of provincials and the first setback was against the team's playoff opponent in the Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League final.
The Fort McMurray Barons tallied once in all periods in Thursday's 3-1 decision at Olds.
Hudson Ketsa of the Comets scored late in the game on the power play.
Shots were 35-28 for the Comets and Matt Clements was between the pipes.
The best-of-three league final will be played next weekend in Fort McMurray.
The Metro conference Comets (20-6-6, 142 GF/83 GA) and the Rural conference Barons (23-8-1, 186 GF/98 GA) were the top teams in their respective divisions and in the playoffs St. Albert is 6-2 and Fort McMurray is 5-1-1.
The second game at provincials for the Comets was the 6-2 setback against the Okotoks Oilers.
Dylan Leslie tallied twice and Brett Reiter assisted on both goals as the Comets outshot the Oilers 42-33. In net was Carson Ironside.
Friday's score against the Calgary Wranglers was unavailable at press time.
The Comets close out the five-team round robin today against the Olds Grizzlys at 12:45 p.m.
