The St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres spread the scoring around while recording their 12th win without a loss this season in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.

Ethan Leyer, Ryley Morgan, Carter Savoie, Austin Spiridakis, Matthew Reidy and Mathieu Gautier found the back of the net in Tuesday’s 6-0 decision against the PAC Saints (2-9-3) of Spruce Grove at Akinsdale Arena.

Leyer also collected three assists and Morgan and Savoie had two helpers each.

Leyer’s goal was his league-high 18th and he also ranks second in points with 30.

The Sabres outshot the Saints by a wide margin of 64-9 as Ethan Barwick (6-0, 1.52 GAA) posted his third shutout.

The Nitro north team is averaging a league-best 6.41 goals and 1.75 against.

The Fort Saskatchewan Rangers (10-0-1) of the Charger north division is the other AMBHL team without a loss while averaging 5.36 goals and 1.81 against.

The Rangers and Sabres hook up Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. at JRC Arena.

The Sabres are 6-0 on home ice when they host the Maple Leafs (4-6-2) today at 4:15 p.m.

The St. Albert Flyers continue their winning ways this weekend in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.

The first-place north division Flyers (10-0) play the Maple Leafs (1-9-1) tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Kenilworth Arena and the second-place PAC Saints (9-2) Saturday at 5:15 p.m. at Glenn Hall Centennial Arena.

The last win for the midget 15 Flyers was Wednesday’s 4-2 result against the SSAC Bulldogs (5-2-1) at Millwoods Arena.

The midget AAA St. Albert Slash resumes action in the Alberta Female Hockey League after a winning performance at the Two Nations College Prep Series tournament in Detroit.

The Slash (5-0) skate at Go Auto Arena tonight against the Rocky Mountain Raiders (6-2-1) at 7:45 p.m. and Sunday against the Edmonton Pandas (3-4) at 8:15 p.m.

Last weekend Slash finished 5-0 at the Two Nations and the scores were 8-0 against the Milwaukee Admirals, 6-0 against Team Illinois, 4-0 against the Dallas Stars, 2-0 against the Chicago Young Americans and 6-1 against the Chatham Outlaws.

The next Two Nations tournament for the Slash is Dec. 1 to 4 in Toronto.

Meanwhile, three Slash players were selected to the Alberta U18 team for nationals, starting Wednesday in Regina, and they are netminder Camryn Drever of Edmonton, defenceman Stephanie Markowski of Edmonton and forward Tyra Meropoulis of Edson.

The St. Albert teams in the Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League roll into the weekend as the leaders in their respective divisions.

The Blues are 5-1 in the Anderson standings when they face-off against SSAC Lakewood Chevrolet (3-1-2 in Anderson) tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena.

Monday the Blues play the Maple Leafs (2-2-1 in Anderson) at 8:15 p.m. at Millwoods Arena.

The Source for Sports Crusaders are 5-1-1 in the BESA standings and their next game is 4 p.m. Sunday against the KC Colts (2-4-2 in Anderson) at Confederation Arena.

David Cloutier and Kiegan Miller share the team lead in goals with six and Cloutier is the top scorer with 10 points, one more than Rhys Mazur.

The Blues are led by Ryan Deets’ seven goals and Zach Carlson’s 11 points.

Meanwhile, the Blues finished 4-1 as winners of the Kelowna Rockets Tier I Midget Tournament last weekend and in the final edged Prince George 2-1.
