The St. Albert Tire Warehouse Raiders host two games this weekend in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League.
Start times are 1:45 p.m. today against the KC Pats (2-2) and 1:15 p.m. Sunday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes (3-1) at Akinsdale Arena.
The Raiders (2-2) dropped two games last weekend in Calgary by scores of 4-3 to the Northstars (3-0-1) and 5-0 to the Buffaloes (4-0).
Eddie Gallagher leads the Raiders in points with five.
Slash at home
The St. Albert Slash and Red Deer Chiefs face-off tonight in the Alberta Female Hockey League.
Puck drop is 7:45 p.m. Go Auto Arena.
The Slash (3-0), the defending Esso Cup national champions, and Red Deer (0-0-1) compete in the six-team midget AAA division
McKenzie Hewett is the Slash’s top point producer with four.
Bantam Raiders
The bantam elite St. Albert Raiders make their season debut this weekend in the Alberta Female Hockey League.
The Raiders skate tonight against Calgary Fire Red at 8:30 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena and Sunday against the Rocky Mountain Raiders at 1:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The Raiders are the 2017 provincial finalists and in the inaugural AFHL season finished first in the north standings at 21-4-1.
Midget Sharks
The season opener for the midget elite St. Albert Sharks in the Alberta Female Hockey League is Sunday in Leduc.
Puck drop is 4 p.m. against the North Central Impact.
The first home game for the Sharks is Friday against the Edmonton Pandas at 8 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The 2016/17 Sharks finished fourth at 8-16-1 in the AFHL’s north division.
Midget 15 Flyers
The home opener for the St. Albert Flyers in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League is Sunday against the Rockyview Raiders of Chestermere.
Faceoff is 10:30 a.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
The midget 15 Flyers (1-1-1) are the 2017 Sutter Cup North playoff tournament champions and provincial bronze medallists and the Raiders (3-0) compete in the south division.
The AMMHL consists of 25 teams.
Tuesday the Flyers host the Maple Leafs (2-0-1) at 8:15 p.m.
The Flyers are led offensively by Maddux Nollski’s four points.
