Be a part of this family-oriented, community-supported event that makes a difference in the lives of Canadians living with MS. This one-day event to fundraise for MS will be held at Millennium Park in St. Albert on April 25 or at Churchill Square in Edmonton on May 16, 2010. Assist with set-up, clean-up, registration/check-in, checkpoints, food and beverages or finish line cheer squad. Volunteer as an individual, group or as a family.
Do you have experience handling cash, excellent people skills, an outgoing personality and are comfortable in a hospital setting? Tour various areas throughout this hospital and provide personal care items and snacks/drinks to patients, visitors and staff.
This local society that oversees an affordable location for three vibrant and active local organizations is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as a board member. The volunteer should have an interest in utilizing experience and knowledge of the community in making a difference. Your time commitment would involve quarterly board meetings and an annual general meeting in June.
Give back by helping this organization serve meals to people in need. Breakfast is prepared and served Friday mornings from 6:30 to 9 a.m. As well, a lunch is prepared and served every second Friday to 55-plus clients, for which volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Some set-up and clean-up is involved and food handling experience is an asset, but not necessary. Volunteer to help with both meals or only one.

St. Albert 150th Anniversary celebration committee is looking for volunteers to chair or volunteer on the following subcommittees — volunteer co-ordination, partner and operations, youth celebrations and the record-breaking Rendezvous picnic.
