In October of this year, St. Albert Gazette staff photographer Chris Colbourne travelled to both Nepal and Cambodia, spending a month shooting photographs and video in remote parts of both countries.

Nepal and Cambodia are extremely poor, with much of the population living on less than $1 US a day. Despite this huge obstacle to daily life, people in both places were warm, welcoming and extended every courtesy, from offerings of food to posing for photographs.
