St. Albert RCMP are looking for an electric bicycle after the owner reported it stolen on Tuesday evening, July 26.

In a July 29 news release, RCMP say the owner parked the bike outside of the Value Buds located at 140 St. Albert Trail around 7 p.m. and went into the shop for a few minutes only to find the bike missing upon leaving the store.

"An unknown male suspect was seen on video surveillance scanning the area around the business, then getting on the electric bike and riding away with it," RCMP said in the release.

RCMP say the suspect is between 18 and 25 years old, has a dark complexion, and was wearing camo shorts, army boots, a t-shirt with a happy face on it, and a red Canadian-flag hat. RCMP also released a photo of the suspect taken from a nearby surveillance camera.

The stolen bike is an army-green coloured "Rad Runner Electric Knee Bicycle," valued at $2,000.
