A 41-year-old St. Albert man is facing charges of sexual exploitation, making sexually explicit material available to a child, and two counts of child luring following an RCMP investigation.

St. Albert RCMP said Tuesday they arrested Russell Drury in connection to an investigation into sexual exploitation, child pornography, creating sexually explicit material and child luring between October 2017 and March 2020.

RCMP allege Drury communicated with a 15-year-old victim via text messaging, social media and in person, and asked the victim to create sexually explicit material. They also allege Drury met the victim on several occasions for sexual purposes.

Following a judicial hearing, Drury was released from custody on numerous conditions.
