A log fell off a semi-truck trailer and struck a school bus carrying children on Tuesday morning.
On Nov. 2 at about 8:37 a.m. Barrhead RCMP received a call about a motor collision between a school bus and a semi-truck and trailer hauling logs.
The semi-truck was turning left, and a log fell off the trailer and penetrated the side of the school bus, an investigation determined.
No one was injured in the collision, which happened as the bus was transporting children to school, Barrhead RCMP said in a press release today.
Both the Barrhead RCMP and the Barrhead Fire Department attended the collision. The road in Barrhead where the collision occurred was closed for several hours for an investigation with an Alberta RCMP collision analyst.
