The death of an Edmonton man whose body was found in Sturgeon County earlier this month has been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Forty-one-year-old Trevor Emery Wortman's body was discovered on a lease site off Range Road 224 north of Highway 28 Feb. 11 when a rural property rep called RCMP. Redwater RCMP, Major Crimes North and Edmonton Forensic Identification Services investigated.

On Feb. 27, the RCMP said an autopsy showed the death was the result of a homicide.

The police are now looking for help from anyone who was in contact with Wortman before Feb. 11, or who might have seen suspicious people or vehicles around the area his body was found.
