Police are searching for a 42-year-old Sturgeon County woman who was last seen Monday afternoon near her Sturgeon Vista Estates home.

Roxanne Wolf, 42, walked away from her residence, located near Township Road 555 and Range Road 240, around 3 p.m. She left with her cellphone and medications, but left her purse and vehicle at home.

“She left apparently for a walk in the afternoon and hasn’t returned since,” said Morinville RCMP Const. Yelena Avoine. “She was really upset when she left.”

Avoine said there were family issues that caused Wolf to become upset, prompting her to take a walk. The last contact with Wolf occurred around 6 p.m. via text message.

Wolf’s daughter reported her mother missing to RCMP at roughly 10 p.m. Monday. Avoine said the family searched for Wolf before contacting RCMP.

Police officers, a dog unit and a search and rescue team from Edmonton are searching for Wolf in the area of her home.

RCMP do not suspect foul play.

Wolf is a Caucasian female with blue eyes and brown hair and is roughly 5-foot-6 with a medium build.

She is believed to be wearing a dark blue shirt, a light blue and white Columbia-brand sport jacket and blue, red and yellow winter boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
