St. Albert RCMP are seeking help finding a man suspect of sexually assaulting a woman outside Fountain Park Recreation Centre.
On Wednesday, Nov. 6, at approximately 10 p.m., an adult female employee of the pool was the victim of a sexual assault in the parking lot of that complex. As the employee approached her parked car after work, she was approached by a male suspect who grabbed her, pulled her against a car and started kissing her. She struggled, was able to break free of the man and leave the area in the safety of her car.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s, with brown hair and a full beard. He was approximately six-feet tall and had green eyes. RCMP investigators have not yet identified this suspect and are asking the community for their help by reviewing the police composite artist sketch to identify the suspect.
As well, residents of St. Albert are asked to practice personal safety techniques throughout their days. Employees are encouraged to walk to their cars in groups or pairs and to be vigilant about people loitering around vehicles. If a suspicious person is seen loitering around parking lots, call the St. Albert RCMP.
Assault in Beer Hunter bar
On Friday, Nov. 1, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a 26-year-old male resident of Edmonton was assaulted at the Beer Hunter bar located on St. Albert Trail. As this man prepared to leave the bar, he approached a female acquaintance to see if she needed a ride home. A male patron sitting with the acquaintance hit the man in the face with a cup, cutting the man's face and requiring him to get several stitches. The male suspect and two male friends fled the Beer Hunter bar right after this happened.
The male suspect is described as young, Asian, wearing a black cap and having tattoos on his right arm. He is described as having a small build and not being very tall in stature. The two friends of the suspect were described as being young white males who were tall and of medium build. The victim of this assault did not know these three men and had never interacted with them before.
