The St. Albert RCMP are hoping the public can help find a man who has been missing since last week.
Darcy Richard Weber, 45, was reported missing to police after being last seen on June 9. Weber is a Caucasian male, between five-foot-four and five-foot-five with a slim build.
He has blue eyes and short brown hair that is greying. Police believe he may have been wearing a blue Disneyland sweatshirt or a teal sweatshirt. He is also believed to be wearing dirty blue jeans and white running shoes.
St. Albert RCMP Const. Janice Schoepp said police do not suspect foul play, but it unusual for Weber to not contact his family.
“If he has gone someplace before he has always contacted his wife.”
Weber has been known to go camping but always contacts family first. Schoepp said RCMP officers have searched for him in some of his known camping spots but came up empty.
“He has been known to camp in certain areas before and so we have made inquiries and contacted RCMP in different areas, but no one has seen him.”
He was reported missing earlier, but Schoepp said the police investigation has shown he was last seen at 4:50 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express in Edmonton at 10017 – 179A St.
“They made inquiries regarding where his credit cards and things had been used and it came up that he had attempted to use it there.”
Weber’s 2003 White GMC Sierra pick-up truck is also missing. The vehicle is white with a licence plate of 81G 426 and has a dent on the passenger side at the rear and on the driver’s side of the hood.
Anyone with any information is being asked to call the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
