Dodger Dog Park near Servus Place will soon have a new fence, seats and garbage cans after council approved the use of up to $200,000 to complete some off-leash dog park improvements.
After residents raised safety concerns about the off-leash parks, the city recommended the installation of a fence at Dodger Dog Park, as well as improve off-leash signs throughout some of the local dog parks.
The projects are expected to be completed before 2024, and will be funded through the city's dog licence reserve. Prior to the projects being approved, the reserve's balance had stood at $805,641.
