Maybe you know someone named Lois. Maybe you're a Lois yourself. If so, you might be familiar with an international movement of Loises who take lunch together and get to know others with the same name.

It's called Lois Link, and the worldwide club has had chapters all over – including in the St. Albert area back in 2001 when the Loises of Edmonton and area chapter gathered in St. Albert on June 11 of that year to visit with each other and swap stories.

The St. Albert Gazette was present at that meeting. The following is our report that appeared in the June 20, 2001 paper.

Audio from the Archives

We've told tens of thousands of St. Albert stories over the years, and there are endless more stories yet to be told. Often, as months turn into years, these stories become forgotten, living only in the pages of the Gazette archives.

The Gazette is reviving some of these stories in audio form. On a regular basis, we will dive into our archives to delight, entertain and educate you about the wonderful community we live in.
