The St. Albert Gazette’s website was a popular place during the recent municipal election.
More than 5,000 people stopped by Oct. 21 – 5,404 to be exact. Of those visits, 4,652 were “unique” views, not multiple visits by the same person. There were 17,257 page views that day.
This performance outstrips the Gazette’s usual online performance, which on a normal day lands between 1,000 and 2,000 visitors and between 2,500 and 4,500 page views.
The vast majority of visitors were from St. Albert, with 2,595 checking out our content on Oct. 21. Another, 1,208 stopped by from Edmonton, 326 from Calgary and 192 from Morinville. There were visits from Vancouver to Toronto to Ottawa, as well as more local neighbours from Sherwood Park, Stony Plain and Spruce Grove.
