We explore photography and videography, trying our hand at the media arts. We become a little more theatrical during games of charades and telling stories to our kids like The Night Before Christmas.
There are plenty of sweet adventures in the culinary arts and even the floral arts for many of us who pick up poinsettias and fresh flowers for special dinners. I don't think we are even aware of the art we are creating during the holidays – we are just having fun, letting go a little and taking advantage of a forgiving time of year when we can freely express ourselves.
So go out and be creative! Enjoy this festival season and when you are reminded to "honour Christmas in your heart, and try to keep it all the year," remember how much fun it is to be an artist in your own way and find ways to express yourself throughout the year.
