The St. Albert Crime Stoppers Association is asking for your assistance in solving the following crimes.

Stolen vehicle emission system

On Thursday, Aug. 16 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a Western Prime Transport company truck – a Dodge 3500 – was parked overnight on Inglewood Drive next to Riverside Motorsports in St. Albert. When the company driver returned to the truck at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, he found the emission system for the vehicle missing. Person(s) unknown had cut the fuel lines and electrical lines from beneath the truck and removed the emission system including the catalytic converter.

Theft of motorcycles

On Friday, Aug. 10, between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m., two unknown men went to Riverside Honda on St. Albert Trail and stole two motorcycles from the lot. The suspects walked through the store and then walked up to two motorcycles parked outside the front door of the business. The suspects then pushed the motorcycles across the parking lot to a truck, loaded the motorbikes into the box of the truck and drove out of the lot. A customer noticed the truck leaving the parking lot and reported the suspicious activity to the store personnel who confirmed that the motorcycles were stolen.

The truck was described as a late 1990s grey or silver two-door Dodge 1500 extended cab truck, which appeared dusty or dirty. No licence plate was noticed for the truck.

The suspects are described as follows: The first suspect was a white male, possibly in his early 20s, wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a large purple logo, white running shoes and a black baseball cap. The second suspect was a white male, in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a white T-shirt with a large “fox” logo, and blue jeans.

The stolen motorcycles are a 2011 blue and white Yamaha Y285 and a 2008 black and orange KTM, model KTM4.

The blue and white Yamaha motorcycle has been recovered in Wetaskiwin, Alberta as a third male tried to pawn it there. Wetaskiwin RCMP are continuing to investigate this incident. The black and orange KTM motorcycle has not been located.
