The Community of St. Albert Facebook administrators are hosting their second annual Christmas Hamper Drive in support of the St. Albert Food Bank and the Salvation Army Gift Centre. Non-perishable food and toys (for infants through teens) can be dropped off at businesses throughout the city on a rotating basis, starting with Cranky's yesterday.
Each day, a hamper list will be posted on the page at www.facebook.com/stalbertcommunity. The schedule is as follows: today – Purple Lotus Massage; tomorrow – Mission Pet Planet; Monday – Big Kev's Auto; Tuesday – The Inked Stamper; and Wednesday – Orange Theory Fitness.

Silent auction for French preschool
Les Tournesols Preschool is hosting a fundraiser to benefit its French immersion preschool program for children aged three to five in St. Albert and surrounding communities. The event will feature a silent auction and a wine/liquor raffle that can be entered for $5. It takes place on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. The Bourbon Room is located at 205 Carnegie Drive in the Campbell Business Centre.
The preschool is a registered non-profit charity and all of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward enhancing the classroom experience and basic operating costs.
Tickets are $10 each and include a complimentary drink. They can be purchased at the preschool (located in école Father Jan, 15 Mission Avenue) or at the event itself. Hockey tix for gymnastics
The St. Albert Gymnastics Club is hosting a fundraiser by selling Oil Kings tickets for $20 apiece. Tickets are available in section 102 for games on Nov. 26 and Jan. 25, in addition to vouchers for any game.

Bottle drive
St. Albert's U12B Ringette team is holding a bottle drive today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents in North Ridge can leave their donations bagged on their front steps for collection this morning.
