Alexander chief Kurt Burnstick was scheduled to enter a plea last week on charges of sexual assault and break and enter stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred over three decades ago.
Court was adjourned by an agent on Jan. 17. Burnstick’s next appearance will be Feb. 21 in Morinville Provincial Court for election and plea.
He is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of break and enter. The first count of sexual assault allegedly took place between July 1 and Aug. 30, 1985. The second count of sexual assault allegedly took place between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, 1985; the same date as the break and enter is said to have occurred.
Burnstick was found not guilty of another sexual assault charge in a St. Albert provincial court earlier this month.
