Balou is one of four puppies born by Caesarian section to a Rottweiler-cross mom on Feb. 27. She was unable to care for her pups and so they came to the Northern Alberta Society for Animal Protection (NASAP). They were bottle-fed and are now healthy puppies ready to look for new and loving homes. Balou is currently seven weeks old and he will be available for adoption when he turns eight weeks old. Balou is a little explorer. He is a very social little guy who loves to cuddle. He has white feet and a white tip on the tail and might be part collie.

My name is Dixie and I was unclaimed from the pound. I’m super sweet, affectionate and no bother at all to my foster mom. My fur is snuggly soft and I'm very relaxed and laid back. I don't have a tail and am most likely a Manx. I don't play much with toys but I do love catnip. I'm not overly rambunctious and am pretty quiet. I have the cutest little ‘mew’ as well. It's very tiny. I don't mind the dog in my foster home but she does make me nervous so I tend to scoot around her and stay out of her hair. My foster mom thinks my eyes are a gorgeous green colour and I have a cute smile to boot. I will soon be spayed and then I'll be ready for my new home.

Dixie's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, tattoo, FIV/Feline leukemia testing and a post adoption health checkup. If you are interested in adopting Dixie, please go online to www.nasap.ca and click on the “adopt me” link underneath her picture. Or you can call the NASAP at 780-922-0250 and leave a voicemail.
