Piano recital
Now based in New York, the Edmonton-born Jason Cutmore returns to his hometown for a piano recital on Wednesday, April 1 at Muttart Hall, at Alberta College Conservatory of Music.
The internationally acclaimed pianist, a former student of Edmonton Youth Orchestra conductor Michael Massey, has peppered his program with master works from Déodat Séverac, Isaac Albeniz, Franz Liszt and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Cutmore's avid interest in chamber music has led to numerous musical collaborations with artists from across the world. One of his present projects is with narrator Rick Phillips in a series of concert performances for children using the music of Debussy, Roussel, Poulenc, Prokofiev and Saint-Saëns.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and the conservatory of music is located at 10050 MacDonald Drive. Tickets are $35 adults, $25 seniors and $10 students. Tickets are available in advance through Tix-on-the-Square or at the door.
