Ever wonder why tickets for world-class entertainment at the International Children's Festival are so low?
Part of the reason comes from the ongoing work of one of its most stalwart supporters, the Friends of the Northern Alberta International Children's Festival Society.
Once again the society has dug into its box of creative ideas and is hosting a Festive Fundraiser on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Art Gallery of St. Albert.
Dress is business casual and refreshments are provided. Please RSVP to [email protected] or call 780-973-6200.
If the City of Champions' athletes are a big disappointment this year, check out another kind of athlete.
Rapid Fire Theatre is up and running for another attempt to claim The Prairie Bowl Theatresports Tournament title.
From Nov. 21 to 23 at the Citadel Theatre, these comedic warriors are out to blow you out of the water with three nights of non-stop laughter. Yes, teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are facing off for the title of Best in the West.
Who will emerge as the brutal champion? Will Combat Improv from Regina kick Cowtown's Kinkonaut's butt? Can the Bull Skit Chuckle Monsters from Red Deer slaughter Winnipeg's Outside Joke? And just how will the Rapid Fire home team survive?
Tickets to the laugh-infused Prairie Bowl are $15 and can be purchased at www.rapidfirectheatre.com.
