Prairie Dog Film + Television announced their much anticipated third season of Blackstone, on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The six-part series is a raw, unflinching look at an indigenous community through the lens of the fictional Blackstone First Nation.
In season three, each of the central characters is touched by conflict and struggle. Some of the universal themes director Ron E. Scott tackles are domestic violence, criminal justice, child and family welfare and the devastating consequences of addiction.
“Production went very well and the level of talent on this series is exceptional,” says Scott, producer for the one-hour shows. “It may be our most explosive season yet and we look forward to having our viewers experience it.”
Returning to the fold are notable actors Carmen Moore, Eric Schweig, Michelle Thrush, Nathanial Arcand and Tantoo Cardinal to name a few.
Blackstone is aired on Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). Check local listings for times.
