Stephen Adly Guirgis’ The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, is a funny, crude and vivid courtroom case of the Kingdom of Heaven and Earth versus Judas Iscariot.
The production plays fast and loose with religious dogma, setting purgatory in a grubby Bronx courtroom. Iconic figures such as Mother Theresa, Sigmund Freud and Satan all testify in this epic debate between divine mercy and human free will.
Performances run May 16 to 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Timms Centre. Tickets are $22. Call 780-420-1757 or go online to tixonthesquare.ca.
