If you couldn’t get enough of Corner Gas, the TV series and Corner Gas: The Movie, then check out Brent Butt performing one of his famous standup routines at the Arden Theatre on Feb. 18.
Many are under the impression Butt was an overnight sensation. In reality, the King of Comedy honed his chops over a 20-year period touring every bar, club and dive in Western Canada.
Through hard work, Butt’s reputation grew and his brand of dry humour quickly marked him as an “everyman” comedian.
Tours and festival performances were sold out and television offers flowed to his doorstep. Regarded as more than an entertainment personality, Butt is the guy in the living room we all know and can relate to.
Butt also released his first feature film, No Clue, in 2013 where he plays the part of a salesman who is mistaken for a Sam Spade type detective.
Tickets for Brent Butt are $42 (plus facility fee) and went on sale Friday. Call the Arden box office at 780-459-1542 or online at ticketmaster.ca.
