Producer Tony James is hosting Unforgettable – the Music of Nat King Cole on April 2 at the Arden Theatre.
It is part of the Canadian Legends Concert Series featuring artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Billie Holliday, Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra among others.
Alberta’s own Tenaj Williams stars as one Nat King Cole, one of the world’s most stylish crooners.
“Nat had a charismatic ease and casualness. The way he delivered was inspiring and reflective and he put you in a different place. Tenaj is from Calgary and is in his early 20s. He has the same sort of charisma in his look and feel and the way he delivers the songs. His style fits with Nat’s and he was an obvious choice,” said James.
The evening includes great classics such as Unforgettable, Tenderly, Nature Boy, Autumn Leaves and Too Young.
Early bird tickets are on sale and fans can enjoy a 15 per cent discount until Jan. 14. Call 780-459-1542 or online at ticketmaster.ca.
