The Edmonton Arts Council's award-winning urban art exhibition has returned to bring visual culture to the cityscape. It features 45 new artworks by 38 artists displayed on 10 billboards located throughout Edmonton. Artists include Allison Argy-Burgess and Karen Klassen. Until April 2017.

Karen Blanchet has a few upcoming shows at different venues. Alberta Branded will feature some of her work for the Common Ground showcase in March. That will be on the main floor of the Federal Building at 9820 107 St. She will also have a display of her work for the Blue Gallery at the Glenrose Rehab Hospital, 10230 111 Ave. in Edmonton. That will run from March 30 to May 1.

Samantha Williams-Chapelsky is set to be the feature artist at Gibson Fine Art in Calgary and will be showing a new series of her work there from Feb. 24 to March 11 (www.gibsonfineart.ca). After that, she and fellow VASA artist Jenny Keith will be in New York for the Affordable Art Fair held in Chelsea from March 29 to April 2 (www.affordableartfair.com/fairs/new-york)

The Art Gallery of St. Albert is also promoting Canadiana-rama, its 27th annual fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. at St. Albert Place. Details at www.artgalleryofstalbert.ca.

The Big Lake Artists' Studios will be having its annual open house with show and sale on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The collective's 10 artists will be on site to display their artworks and do demos.
