The August Art Walk takes place tomorrow evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at various locations mostly in the Perron District. These include the Art Gallery of St. Albert, the Visual Arts Studio Association (VASA), the St. Albert Public Library, the MusĂ©e HĂ©ritage Museum, the WARES Store in St. Albert Place, the Bookstore on Perron, and A Boutique Gallery Bar By Gracie Jane, along with special one-time only venues at Jack’s Burger Shack and Fountain Tire on St. Albert Trail.

This event also includes outdoor artists Sarah Kirby, Megan Pederson, Marina Alekseeva, Kara Straub, Judy Schafers, Janet Sutanto, Grant Kurtz, Gina Joys, Regi, and Andra Gavrila, along with other sights and activities, some of which are tied in to Rock’n August, which is being held at the same time.

Pharmakon is an exhibit featuring multimedia artworks by intermedia artist Brad Necyk. Opening reception to be held tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with the August Art Walk. On display until Saturday, Aug. 27.

Late artist Pat Wagensveld is also the featured artist in the Art Rental and Sales Gallery upstairs.

Drawing on Life is an exhibit of figurative artworks by a collective of artists including Catharine Compston, Carroll Charest, Deltra Powney, Judy Martin, Sharon Moore-Foster, Daphne Cote, and Nancy Corrigan. Brenda Danbrook will have a selection of her pottery on display for the August Art Walk event from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Also, Satisfaction Guaranteed is the new exhibit focusing on advertisements at the museum. On display until Sunday, Sept. 11.

The library has two new exhibits, the first of which is by the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG). The other is a TREX, the acronym for a traveling exhibit called Imprints, which comes courtesy of the Art Gallery of Alberta.

Autism Artistry features Ben and Grant Kurtz, two autistic brothers, who have spent years dedicating themselves to their photographic and painting practices. Ben will have a display of his photos at Fountain Tire on St. Albert Trail and Grant will be showing his paintings at Jack’s Burger Shack on Perron Street. Teresa Graham is bringing Nature’s Bouquets to the gallery for the months of August and September. It will feature a rotating series of paintings. Scotia Place is located at 10060 Jasper Ave. in Edmonton.

Path Makers is a traveling exhibit from the Art Gallery of Alberta’s TREX program. It is a tribute to three Alberta First Nations artists – Dale Auger, Joane Cardinal-Schubert, and Kimowan Metchewais – who each have significantly contributed to our national history. On display until August 24.
