Edmonton Symphony Orchestra is set to enchant children of all ages with a Halloween special on Saturday, Oct 29 at the Winspear Centre.
The season’s first ESSO Symphony for Kids plans to revitalize the spellbinding charm and wonder of John Williams’ Harry Potter compositions.
The ESO will play excerpts from the fantasy scores from the first six films – music that ranges from the lofty to the heartbreaking and poignant.
Preconcert activities for children begin in the lobby at 1 p.m. Children can create wands, cast spells while learning about music, see magic tricks and touch cuddly and creepy creatures including rabbits, snakes and a tarantula.
