Three special blues musicians will make an appearance at LB’s Pub this week for the upcoming Mark Ammar’s Tuesday Moosehead Open Stage. Paul Finn (guitar), Joe Piccolo (vocals/sax) and Glen Yorga (bass) get set to pump out their Detroit-influenced blues.

Finn has gigged with top-notch blues names for years and hosted blues jams at the King Eddie in Calgary. Piccolo grew up in Windsor and played with the royalty of Detroit blues, while Ammar first met Yorga gigging with Johnny Tornado.

Ammar’s open stage is at LB’s Pub, 23 Akins Dr., starting at 9 p.m. No cover.

As of last Tuesday, the metropolis of Fringeopolis has started selling tickets. By the end of opening day, the $100 Frequent Fringer passes were sold out.

With over 1,400 shows, Fringers have lots to choose from in various areas across Edmonton. A guide giving a synopsis of all the shows can be purchased at all Safeway stores in the area.

Arden Theatre tickets have been on sale to annual subscribers since July 27. However, on Monday, Aug. 8, the remaining tickets go on sale to the public.

There will be 27 mainstage shows and an additional four family shows. Tickets range from $20 to $50. To book, call 780-459-1542 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
