Owner Tam Andersen has gone all out to harvest these dainty delights as well as pull together a series of entertaining activities and events for the family.

It’s also the weekend for the opening of the Great Corn Maze and Andersen is sure to have a few surprises up her sleeve.

This year’s medieval theme brings out a travelling band of brigand knights from Knight’s Haven that will conduct games, archery and catapult lessons.

Returning is Kompany Family Theatres, an interactive performance of Squeally Moo – Fairly Scary Fairytales held daily at 2 p.m.

There’s a long lost treasure at the Lemon Mine waiting to be discovered and folks can have a free e-photo taken at the Old Thyme Photo Parlour.

The three days of fun also bring together puppet shows, face painting, wagon rides, straw bale building, hula-hoop contests, an egg toss, a petting zoo and crafts.

Kids dressed as fairies, knights or pirates are admitted free this weekend. Admission for two-year-olds and older is $9.95 per person with a family rate of $9.25 per person.

Prairie Gardens is 30 minutes northeast of St. Albert at 56311 Lily Lake Road, Bon Accord.
