St. Albert salutes spring with a four-day art festival that beckons people to slip on their jackets and come downtown to enjoy community camaraderie. Articulture runs April 7 to 10 and combines music, art, literature, heritage and even a film festival.

Thursday, April 7

Live, Work, Play art exhibit reception, St. Albert Place lobby, 5 to 9 p.m. Free.

Prairie Tales 12 Film Festival with Trevor Anderson, Arden Theatre, 7 p.m. Free.

• Ninth annual St. Albert ArtWalk, downtown Perron District, 7 p.m.

Beyond the Frame pop-up book, St. Albert Public Library 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Free.

Friday, April 8

Live, Work, Play exhibit, St. Albert Place lobby, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free.

• Jazz music workshops Sandro Dominelli and Bomba! at Progress Hall, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Beyond the Frame pop-up book, St. Albert Public Library 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Free.

• Music Night with Dominelli and Bomba! at the Arden Theatre, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 senior/student and can be purchased by calling 780-459-1542 or visiting ardentheatre.com/tickets.php.

Saturday, April 9

• Art Venture drop-in, Art Gallery of St. Albert, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Michif Cultural and Resources Institute serves bannock and fried berries, St. Albert Place atrium, noon.

• Métis Beading Workshop, Musée Heritage Museum, noon to 2:30 p.m. $10.

• Marty Chan Youth Writing Workshop, St. Albert Public Library, 1 p.m.

Literary Crawl, Anna Marie Sewell and Pierrette Requier, Art Gallery of St. Albert, 1 p.m. Free.
