The Arden Theatre just announced the Corb Lund Acoustic Trio Tour and the popular country singer-songwriter is coming to St. Albert on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
A rural Albertan hailing from the Rocky Mountain foothills, he comes from a long line of ranchers and is as authentic as they come.
His music at different times has been described as outlaw country, Western and indie folk. No matter the characterization, it always reflects an honest devotion to the land and the hard-working salt of the earth people who work it.
Lund has 12 albums to his name and multiple domestic and international award nominations. However, like most singers, he launched his recording career in his basement, printing his own shirts, booking his own tours and wearing the hat of both manager and publicist.
In 2022, Lund won his 14th Canadian Country Music Award and made his debut at the historic Grade Ole Opry earlier this year. His latest album of originals, El Viejo, was released February 2024.
