Shumka's Nutcracker "Clara's Dream," a Ukrainian interpretation of the great Tchaikovsky classic.
This richly costumed production features ballet, folk dance and character dance blending the grace of classical movement with the strength and power of Ukrainian character dance.
Special guests include Citie Ballet and Viter Choir as well as Ukraine's Virsky and Kyiv ballet companies accompanying Shumka dancers for this timeless Christmas tradition.
Clara's Dream is slated for three performances on Dec. 29 and 30 at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Tickets are $18 to $80. Visit

The Boo! Revue
Plain Jane Theatre, Bright Young Things and Atlas Theatre are combining their considerable talents to mount
The Boo! Revue on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Varscona Theatre.
It's an evening of scary songs, dance and stories that will make you see Halloween in a whole new way.
And it features a cast with some of St. Albert's best entertainers: Madelaine Knight, Karina Cox, Sage Jepson, Beth Portman, Jenna Dykes and Jenny McKillop.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20/$25 and are available at
