Michelle & Friends kick off Noisy Theatre
The Arden Theatre's distinctive brand of Noisy Theatre paves the way for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to appreciate music, song, dance and storytelling.
This season Michelle & Friends roll out Noisy Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 19 with a munchkin-targeted concert.
The string trio – guitar, fiddle and upright bass – last seen at the International Children's Festival of the Arts, deliver the goods. Their delightfully, silly kid songs get the little ones bopping and burning off energy while giggling and having fun.
The 45-minute interactive show starts at 10 a.m. A free pre-show activity gets underway at 9 a.m. The Arden is at 5 St. Anne Street. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children and under two years of age is free. Call 780-459-1542 or visit

Upside down tea with Firefly Theatre
Mention High Tea and what comes to mind are Victorian cucumber sandwiches, crumpets and black tea.
But this is the 21st century and Firefly Theatre & Circus offers a more elevated – pardon the pun – fundraiser that combines aerial acrobatics, tea and lots of sweets from the Duchess Bake Shop.
Chandelier acrobats and flying butlers climb the silks and hang upside down offering champagne service co-mingled with jaw-dropping aerial stunts.
Join aerialist Lyne Gosselin, acrobat Normand Boulé, aerial hoop artist Mackenzie Baert and many more for a sneak preview of Firefly's upcoming show
KOLABO.
High Tea takes place at ATB Financial Arts Barn, 10330-84 Ave. on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $50 at Tix on the Square or call Firefly at 780-758-9999.
