Three Edmonton theatre companies have joined forces to give audiences a special evening of holiday entertainment.
Three Christmas Delights brings together the talents of The Maggie Tree, Plain Janes and Trunk Theatre for an evening of sassy and scintillating songs and stories. As an added bonus there are also games, carolling, prizes and munchies.
These three companies are residents of Varscona Theatre and this is a fundraiser supporting their 2016 productions.
Three Christmas Delights is on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at Pleasantview Hall, 10860 57 Ave. Tickets are $45 plus fees. Call 780-420-1757 or purchase online at tixonthesquare.ca
Cluster of Stars is the theme for Jubiloso! Bells of Concordia’s holiday concert. Conductor Debbie Rice has chosen a series of tunes that celebrate our active cosmos – one that that brings us “blood and blue moons, comet encounters, meteor showers, and spectacular northern lights.”
The 18 ringers, including St. Albert’s Kathie Zalasky, perform with the largest set of handbells and chimes in Canada that deliver a six-octave range.
The bell concert is on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. It takes place at the Robert Tegler Student Centre, Concordia University of Edmonton, 7128 Ada Blvd. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 students/seniors. Call 780-420-1757 or purchase online at tixonthesquare.ca.
