The tabloids write more about Kelly Clarkson’s weight rather than her vocal prowess. But that has never stopped fans from continuing their love affair with the American Idol sweetheart.
Boasting seven albums to her name since 2003, Clarkson will perform at Rexall Place on Oct. 14 in support of her latest album Piece by Piece released in February of this year.
Special guests on her Edmonton stop of the Piece by Piece Tour are Nick Jonas and Tyler Shaw.
Piece by Piece is the recording artist’s last pop contractual obligation before she switches to the country genre.

After a four-year hiatus 3rd Street Beat brings back its annual benefit concert Hip Hop for Hope tonight at the Winspear Centre.
Titled Icons and Heroes, this year’s program features more than 300 performers ages three to 45. The number includes studio groups, vocalists and professional dance crews that will time travel to present the world’s most influential figures from the 1900s to today.
There’s even the dancing Elvises with their blue suede shoes bustin’ a groove as an example of encouraging young dance aspirants to make a difference.
Proceeds from Hip Hop for Hope go directly to Youth Giving Back Foundation’s free youth empowerment camp set for Aug. 19 to 21. The camp will host 300 youth from 10 to 17 years at the Creative Youth Centre facility.
The foundation also assists low-income families to ensure that everyone is welcome to train in their artistic passion regardless of financial status.
