Purity Ring and Red Bull have teamed up to present a free live concert at Sir Winston Churchill Square on Saturday, June 13.
The Edmonton pop duo, a.k.a. Megan James and Corin Roddick, are in the middle of a 44-stop spring/summer world tour banging up support for their second album, another eternity.
When Purity Ring jumped into the music scene in 2011, music reviewers called it “the perfect balance for future pop.” Brighter and bolder than Shrines, their first album, another eternity continues to deliver a singular sound.
The concert also features performances by their touring partners Braids and Born Gold. Instead of doling out cash for merch, fans that RSVP online to attend receive access to download two remixes of songs – dust hymn and bodyache.
Showtime is 7 p.m. For more info visit purityringthing.com.
