Two local country singer-songwriters showcase their talents at the Needle Vinyl Tavern's Rising Star on Tuesday, May 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Justin Hogg of Morinville and Hailey Benedict from St. Albert are the two guest performers.
Hogg was winner of multiple awards at the North American Country Music Association, International (NACMAI) competitions and just wrapped up recording his first single titled Smoke Signals.
On the other hand, Benedict is the youngest winner of the Association of Country Music Fan Choice Award and is a five-time winner at NACMAI.
There is no cover charge, however, Needle Vinyl Tavern passes the hat around the audience to collect donations exclusively for the performers.

Edmonton Community Foundation in partnership with LitFest Alberta and Eighteen Bridges Magazine will host a literary salon on Wednesday, May 31 at the Mercury Room.
Twelve Edmonton writers will reminisce on the city celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary. Poet Laureate Anna Marie Sewell, LGBT historian and playwright Darrin Hagen and culinary expert Jennifer Cockrall-King lead the group.
Also highlighted are Malcolm Azania, Nasra Adem, Jalal Barzanji, Lynn Coady, Richard van Camp, Myrna Kostash, Bruce McCulloch, Roland Pemberton and Paula Simons.
Hosting the event is Minister Faust with readings starting at 6 p.m.
