Work Light Productions tours Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium from April 18 to 23.

In this fresh take, Cinderella is a cheery chambermaid transformed into a princess. All the classic story elements are there: a pumpkin, fairy godmother, glass slippers, an elegant gown and a grand ball.

Cinderella is a modern woman living in a fairytale world. She has both savvy and soul and doesn't let her rags trip her up in doling out kindness, compassion and forgiveness.

Longing to escape the everyday drudgery, she fights for her dreams and forces the prince to open his eyes and realize his dreams.

Tickets start at $20 and are available at 1-800-889-8457.
