Tonight singer-songwriter-entertainer Tim Isberg returns to the Bourbon Room with an acoustic showcase.
The Sherwood Park-based artist, who served in the Canadian army through a two-decade career, was shipped overseas to several hotspots across the world including Rwanda, Afghanistan and Israel.
Isberg has witnessed more than most in several lifetimes, and his well-crafted Americana-roots songs, many based on overseas experiences, appeal to many listeners.

The Edmonton Eskimos are looking for fans to fill in as extras during the filming of a commercial on Thursday, March 30 at Commonwealth Stadium.
Men, women and teenagers older than 16 from all ethnic backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to participate. No experience is required.
The commercial for the green and gold will air this spring. Chris Muir who also directed commercials for Coors Light, General Mills Cheerios and Scotia Bank, is organizing the event.
The filming takes place at 7 p.m. at Commonwealth’s Brick Field.
Now celebrating its 65th year on the Edmonton music scene and the 35th season with conductor Dr. Leonard Ratzlaff, the Richard Eaton Singers present Franz Joseph Haydn’s The Creation.
The composer’s most famous masterpiece is a joyful, theological account of God’s creation of the universe. A devout Catholic, Haydn tempered the piece to match his personal faith’s beliefs, one that tended towards the cheerful and reconciled.
At its opening in 1798, it was an immediate hit and continues to be so.
In addition to the 150-person mixed choir, the concert features soprano Lesley Ann Bradley, tenor John Tessier, and baritone Alexander Hajek.
