The jury is out on whether the event title is accurate but organizers of today’s “All You Need is Love – Said No Woman Ever” market are still hopeful to draw a mixed crowd of women and men looking to treat themselves and each other a little bit better and perhaps differently too.

Organizer Tracy Hansen of Trendy Trades explained that the concept is meant to engage the attendees in a unique way.

“I’ve been doing trade shows for a while. This one is more Valentine’s themed and getting more interaction out of customers. There’s going to be a lot of interaction at the show,” she said.

This means that there will be experiences such as cooking demonstrations by a Pampered Chef representative, “Russian Gypsy” card readings by Debbie Smith, a touch of supernatural help from psychic medium Hitlje Stroud, makeovers, and local shopping experiences including jewelry, personal products, teas and treats, painting classes, and even intimate gifts among other things.

Local author A.D. Ryan will also be on hand with copies of her five previously published novels to sell and sign and a teaser of her new work, Rm w/a Vu (Room with a View), which is set to be released on Valentine’s Day. She works in the supernatural suspense mystery genre with a touch of romance thrown in, she said. There are stories of werewolves that she loves to explore.

“It all started as a weird little dream. I didn’t have a start or an end, just a part. When I woke up the next day, I was curious to find out how this person got to where they were,” she began. “From there, it blossomed in my head and played out like a movie. It became a trilogy.”

That is what she calls The Blood Moon Trilogy. Her most recent work, Just A Number, is a step in the romance direction for the author and a successful one at that. She said that it has already reached 2.5 million views. All of her titles are available on Amazon.

Ryan is hoping to support the release of her next romance Rm w/a Vu by hosting a Facebook release event during the week of Feb. 14 to 20. She’ll be joined by other authors to support their new works as well. People can find information on that by searching for “A.D. Ryan, Author” on the social media site.

All You Need is Love runs today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Hall, attached to the St. Albert Legion at 6 TachĂ© St. For more information, text Hansen at 780-887-7845 or send her an email at [email protected].
