House Illuminates by Amy Loewan is the new structural exhibit in the gallery's main exhibit space. Visitors can take in the opening receptions with artist talks to take place both on Saturday, Oct. 2 either from 2 to 3 p.m. or from 3 to 4 p.m. Guided virtual tours with curator Emily Baker to take place on both Tuesday, Oct. 5 starting at noon and on Friday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. In-person tours with curator Emily Baker are scheduled for both Thursday, Oct. 14 at noon and Thursday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. Artist Amy Loewan will be available to meet with visitors to the gallery on Saturday afternoons throughout the exhibition's run. The Staircase Gallery will feature the exhibition called Through the Tide by Diana Ohiozebau. Until Nov. 6.

AMPLIFY is an exhibit created to celebrate and amplify the voices of contemporary Alberta artists with a focus on notions of identity in their work. It features four local artists who express their perspectives through portraiture and figurative artwork. Look for works by Diana Ohiozebau (the Art Gallery of St. Albert's August artist of the month, whose Staircase Gallery show Through the Tide closes in November), along with Elsa Robinson, AJA Louden, and Raneece Buddan. Multimedia Artist and Filmmaker aAron Munson is in full meditation as part of his new installation exhibit called SIT STILL TAKE NOTICE. As Munson sits for eight hours a day over the course of 30 days, six 3D printers will work to produce hundreds of black and white Buddha heads. At the same time, collaborator sound artist Gary James Joynes will combine the sound of the printers with a six-channel generative score featuring a series of six individual pure tones. Nicola Tesla postulated that, when these would be presented together (individually in a pattern surrounding the listener), it would have the potential to open the human Pineal (aka the spiritual third eye).
